“The idea for the new Lucid Dreams began after a real dream…I was standing on the edge of a field surrounded by trees. Meteors were raining down from the sky like tears of fire. One meteor crashed into a tree in an explosion of smoke and cinders. When the smoke cleared I walked closer. This was no meteor. Where the tree once stood was now a tall, human like woman wrapped in a gold shroud. She began to speak. She said she was part of a small race of perfumers that have come to earth to share their knowledge of perfumery. Each one of them a master that creates all of their perfumes around a specific ingredient. From this dream I awoke and wrote down what would become Lucid Dreams. Each perfume centered around an ingredient in a dreamy light using the finest materials.”

Each cruelty-free fragrance from For the Scent of It is crafted by hand with care using only responsibly sourced materials. Every fragrance is created from scratch one material at a time and each is diluted to high “Eau de Parfum” strength. There are no phthalates, parabens, dyes, and ABSOLUTELY NO pre-made, inexpensive “fragrance oils”. Each bottle is filled by hand in small batches making each bottle feel uniquely special during the process. Each bottle is shipped in eco-friendly packaging that can be reused or recycled. So often a perfume is purchased and the box just sits there or gets thrown out. We believe a perfume shouldn’t be regarded necessarily for extravagant packaging and should be enjoyed simply “For the Scent of It”!

Ingredients: Alcohol Denat., Fragrance (Parfum), Water (Aqua).
Cruelty-free and no parabens, pthalates, or dyes.

All Sales are Final. For cosmetic product safety concerns, returns and exchanges are not accepted. Due to the fact that scent is very personal and expectations vary from person to person, we encourage all customers to purchase samples of our fragrances before purchasing a full bottle.

Free standard shipping on domestic orders. All orders usually ship within 2 business days. We can currently only ship within the USA.

When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.

Autumnal perfume of my dreams

Dreaming in Tonka casts such an autumnal goddess Alphonse Mucha painting kind of vibe where there is a cornucopia of abundance spilling out next to her. This is the most perfect tonka bean perfume. Fallen leaves, the way tobacco leaf smells before it’s lit, and the richness of gold color and grandeur made regal and purified in liquid form. I am not someone who buys a full size bottle of perfume right away. But this was LE and I didn’t want it to get away, it’s so special. From the very first moment I sprayed it, this was KINDRED. Instant love. Deep, deep love. I would wear this every day. Any occasion. It is so so smooth and rounded out, with complete magic and mystique to it, the kind you inhale almost greedily. This is the second perfume I’ve tried from this house that feels like faerie magic to me. Instant otherworldliness beautiful. I cannot believe how good this is!!
And the drydown. If you can believe it, I don’t even know what part of the scent I love the most, the beginning, the middle or the end. But it is one delicious journey every time I’ve sprayed it. So fluffy and sweet in the drydown.
Please bring these back again for all to enjoy! They are both such pure and perfect perfumes.
